For AI agents

Give your agent an email in one line

Toma na Caixa is disposable email with an open API: no key, no SDK, no sign-up. Perfect for agents that need to sign up for something and confirm a code.

Little robot adventurer holding a golden envelope

The easiest way: paste this prompt

Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex or any agent that can browse the web.

Read https://tomanacaixa.com/skill.md and use it to receive emails and verification codes.

Install the skill

SKILL.md teaches the agent to create inboxes, wait for emails and extract codes. Drop it into your agent’s skills folder:

mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/tomanacaixa
curl -s https://tomanacaixa.com/skill.md -o ~/.claude/skills/tomanacaixa/SKILL.md

Or do it by hand, in 3 calls

  1. 1. Get a unique name

    Or make up your own. Random names keep you out of other people’s mail.

  2. 2. Use the address

    Fill the sign-up form with the returned address.

  3. 3. Wait for the email

    Long-poll holds the connection until the email arrives (up to 90s) and returns the code already extracted.

curl https://api.tomanacaixa.com/v1/random
# → { "inbox": "goblin-dourado-4821", "address": "goblin-dourado-4821@tomanacaixa.com", ... }
curl "https://api.tomanacaixa.com/v1/inboxes/goblin-dourado-4821/wait?timeout=60"

How the flow works

# 1. get a unique name
NAME=$(curl -s https://api.tomanacaixa.com/v1/random | jq -r .inbox)
ADDR="$NAME@tomanacaixa.com"
# 2. use $ADDR in the sign-up form

# 3. wait for the email (up to 60s) and grab the code
curl -s "https://api.tomanacaixa.com/v1/inboxes/$NAME/wait?timeout=60" \
  | jq -r '.messages[0].codes[0]'

Limits and rules

  • 60 requests per minute per IP (HTTP 429 with Retry-After when exceeded).
  • Up to 3 open wait/stream connections per IP.
  • Emails vanish after 48h; at most 200 per inbox.
  • Inboxes are public: don’t use them for real people’s accounts.
  • Receive only; sending doesn’t exist yet.
